-   Some communicative fluency developed with more natural and faster responses.

-   Recognizes some different tenses and conjugations and can produce them more readily.

-   Other structures (e.g. comparatives) familiarized.

-   More competent range of vocab and phrases. - 1000 words

-   Able to read simple but authentic texts and produce a greater range of written language

-   Confidence beginning to develop and learner able to cope adequately in a variety of situations

-   Comprehension of natural speech developed so mainly appropriate and some fluent responses are made.

-   Can easily comprehend natural spoken and written communications

-   Able to use a wide range of language including idiom and complex structure effectively in a variety of contexts.

-   Able to produce good, practically error- free writing thru a range of styles.

-   Vocab - 2600 words

-  Cultural integrity almost complete. 

-   By the end of this level, students should be approaching native   speaker competence in oral communication, and close to full cultural competency.

-   Written work (if a key course component) should be error free and competent in a range of styles 

-   Vocab – 3000+ words
